Our Mission

HAIP is a student-led initiative dedicated to understanding and addressing the unique health challenges faced by African immigrants in Southwest Philadelphia. Through community engagement, research, and collaboration, we work to bridge gaps in healthcare access and awareness.

What We Do

• Community Engagement: Host focus groups, discussions, and service events

• Partnerships: Collaborate with local organizations to deliver impactful health initiatives

• Advocacy: Raise awareness about health disparities affecting African immigrant populations

Why It Matters

African immigrant communities often face barriers to healthcare, including language differences, cultural gaps, and limited access to resources. HAIP exists to listen, learn, and act to ensure that these communities are seen, heard, and supported.
